Women in the Church: Disagreement-- The role of women in the church is a hotly disputed topic. Frankly, at times, all the view points seem to boggle the mind. I firmly believe that everyone truly feels their view point is in line with Scripture and is guided by the Spirit. However, I do not agree with every viewpoint. When confronted with this type of dispute, or any attempt to understand Scripture, I believe we must begin with prayer. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to be our teacher, and to repent of and acknowledge our own hubris.
