| Harris, Barbara In 1889 the US Episcopal Church ordained Harris as a Logs suffragan bishop. Harris was the first modern woman bishop in an Anglican church. Top  During the 1620s Dorothy Hazzard was a preacher at Broodmead (Baptist) Church in Bristol.
