Walker, C.J.
Born on a plantation in 1867, Walker rose to become of the first self-made millionaires in the U.S. Around 1904 Walker had begun experiencing hair-loss as a result of poor nutrition and stress. Her condition lead her to try various hair and scalp treatments...until she and her husband decided to go into the business for themselves. The formula for her treatment came in a dream, and became a dream product which propelled her into entrepreneurial success. Walker used her influence and success to aid other members of her community. In July of 1917 she joined others to visit the White House with a petition to stop lynching.

Wiley, Ophelia
Wiley was one of several woman leaders at Azusa street during the 1906 revival. She wrote Sermon from a Dress.

Williams, Amy

Amy Wiliams entered the mission fields in 1868 when she became a missionary teacher for the American Missionary Association. She later became the principle for Storrs School in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1893, she became the principe of the Slater Normal School in Knoxville, Tennessee. She denied on February 24, 1895.

Woodworth-Etter, Maria
Woodworth-Etter began her preaching career in 1880 at the age of 35. She was uneducated, but committed she traveled across the US preaching the Gospel, leaving her husband at home. Groups such as the Methodist, the United Brethren and the Churches of God sponsored her missions which featured healings and the forerunners of Pentecostal experiences. On aspect of her ministry gained her the title the "Trance Evangelist", as she and her followers would enter trance like states which she felt was the Baptism of the Spirit. She was also a prophet. Her written works include, Signs and Wonders and Marvels and Miracles. Many leaders in the Pentecostal movement benefited from Woodworth-Etter's guidance and teachings, though some tried to limit her authority in the church.
